The wonderful team at Hydrumedical – a Portuguese company creating innovative medical technologies – required a series of illustrations to be featured in the instructions for use and marketing materials of their newly-developed ostomy bag – Hydrustoma® C3.
It was of the upmost importance that these illustrations, targeted at a lay audience, were (a) compliant with the market's regulations; (b) aligned with the client's elegant and modern branding; and (c) in a didactic style that worked well when printed at smaller sizes. We went for a technical-illustration look & feel, with intelligent and minimalist use of accent colors to highlight specific steps and elements. These illustrations were also adherent to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
